I need brakes
I need brakes
I dont wanna spend $500+ ... i want new front rotors/pads for a couple hundred bucks...who has found a good replacement?! My rotors are WARPED BAD...help!!!???
Errr, you can find plenty of parts that will fall within your budget.
Centric rotors and centric pads are great for the price. You can try autozone rotors to save even more money, but I don't really know much about their quality.
Also, learn how to bed your brakes in. Brake rotors almost never get warped, it is almost always brake deposit.
Whenever you feel any judder, bed your brakes in again to clean your rotors up and you can save your rotor.

OP go to r1concepts.com. Many, many members have used them and their prices and quality can't be beat. They use Centric blanks and you'll get a set of front rotors and pads for right under $200 shipped to your door.
DH you should check them out next time you need brake components..........

Please elaborate, this is the first time I have ever heard someone say that brake rotors rarely or never warp...usually (from experience and others on previous forums) I have always heard brake rotors warp very often...I drive a lot and brake a lot...please also elaborate on your opinion of correctly bedding brakes...I have heard a lot of different opinions on this issue as well...

Take what follows with a grain of salt, I may be just talking out of my ***, but just from what I have seen, I suspect that individual braking styles is responsible for pad deposits and judder. It seems that some people have terrible brake judder issues that keep coming back even with new rotors, and some people that never get judder. I almost never get judder, and when I drive my parent's car, their judder improves. I suspect one of the important points is to never come to a complete stop hard on the brakes, and to gradually lift off the brakes at the end. Like I always try to minimize or eliminate the jerk at the end when you come to a stop and try to let my car roll that last 0.5 mph to a stop. (edit: I just realized though that it is impractical on an automatic)
