Coilover questions and concerns
Lol you try to call me an ******* when you ask a stupid question that can't be answered and when you didn't search?
Guess there's always an idiot in the bunch who can't see plentiful information all around him and hasn't the slightest clue what he is talking about

Ok so this might be completely stupid to ask but... My rear will raise and lower, once I put it in drive it lowers about an inch. Which causes my fenders to rub the tires. When I reverse it or park it some times they will raise back up..
What is causing my car to do this?? I was told that it was because my car is auto is this correct if not how can I fix this?

It's hard to get the actual process on camera, but once I put my car in drive the rear quarter panels drop onto my wheels and start to rub.
How ever I had about a finger length gap between my rear quarters and wheel before I put it in drive.

I'm not a very good suspension guru, but I think the squat has to do with the fact that your instantaneous roll center is probably too low from lowering the car, with poorly chosen springs and bumpstops (ie way too soft for your complete and utter lack of use-able bump travel through your wheel choice).
Here is a good discussion from nissan road racing forum:

Some ways to fix this would be to get roll center adjusters and raise the roll center back to the stock position. Get more bump travel by getting tire/wheels that fit inside your wheel well. Or get super stiff springs and bump stops.
Given that squat is compounded on rearwards pitch during acceleration, and further compounded by bump travel when you hit a bump, I am frankly impressed that you can drive that car at all. I hope you aren't in my geographic location, your car sounds pretty dangerous to be driving.

Wow. This thread is HORRIBLE. I have bumped it because of that. thirtyfizzle, how low you wanna go, how much you wanna spend. I'm not even gonna assume performance cuz you haven't searched anything and that tells me you're gonna be somewhat of a "lowfanboi". That being the case, if you swing back this way, I'll give you the info just cuz I'm a nice guy. We'll see.
