Steering Kickback issues on uneven roads and bumps
Steering Kickback issues on uneven roads and bumps
Hey All,
I have an issue with a steering wheel kickback going over uneven roads and bumps.
My car is a 2006 G35 Coupe Sport Suspension (roughly 77K miles).
I have replaced my right compression rod and put on a brand new set of Bilstein HD shock. The issues has been minimized after putting in the shocks but it is still there. Going over bumps my steering wheel will turn roughly 15 - 30 degrees one way and then about 15-30 degrees the other way. It is very unstable on the road due to this.
I took it to 4 shops already including Nissan and Infinity and everyone is saying all my bushings are tight. My tires are properly inflated to spec by a shop this week and an alignment has been done yet again. My tires are the 19" V12 Evo Hankook, back have 2 K miles on them and the front about 60% tread left.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Let me know how it goes Frankie.
I am going back on Saturday to my suspension shop to try and diagnose this, yet again.
I am going to try and do a custom alignment. But I think that will be just masking the issue.
We will see what happens. I will post back on Saturday.
