Brake pad question

I have a 05 oem g35 with vossen wheels. The pads I have cover my front wheels in brake dust and squeal from time to time. What are some front pads that are quiet, stop good and have low dust? And where would be the best place to buy them?

I just bought a set of Wagner Thermo Quiet rear pads off of Amazon. They are a really inexpensive set of nice ceramic pads and I paid $35 for them with tax and free shipping. Here's the link:
Amazon.com: Wagner PD905 Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Set: Automotive Amazon.com: Wagner PD905 Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Set: Automotive

BTW a local parts store here wanted $66 for the same pads.

Best pads with good stopping power, quiet, and VERY low dust are Akebono ProACT pads. They don't hold up to track days though so I switched to Carbotech Bobcat street compound pads. I also have Vossen's and the Carbotech do put out more dust than the ProACT, but not too bad.

Regular street driving though, go with the ProACT. I've used those on every car I've owned and have been happy with the low dust and good stopping power, even on "spirited" drives.

I think even the local Advance Auto Parts stores usually stock them, sometimes as a special order though. Rockauto is another good site. Part numbers are: Front - ACT888 Rear - ACT905

Advance Auto Parts if you have one in your area. Otherwise rockauto.com tirerack.com or amazon.com. Prices are a little lower online, but with shipping costs it comes out as a wash.

I have put 200 miles on the Wagners so far and I like them a lot. Good cold bite, make no noise, almost no dust so far, and on hard braking they stop on a dime. Too early to see long term results, I'll post up a complete review after a couple of thousand miles. Well worth the $35.........

Ivey, this is like asking "Which synthetic oil is best?" Everyone has there own opinion so here's mine....HAWK HPS pads available here on our Marketplace under vendor brakes. I suggest you do both front and back since the rear pads wear out first and you want to eliminate the dreaded dust. HAWK pads leave very little dust which was why I bought them over OE pads. Buy the set, then do the bed in process after install (search) which will give you 30% better stopping power....Gary
