Is that the actual item? Because that's a 03-04 single piston caliper and not what you are looking for

It is the actual item. It is listed as the 05-06 caliper, but when I tried to test fit the pads, (in my living room), they didn't fit. Is there a difference in size with the ones I have bought and the 2004 calipers or are they the exact same? If I have to send them back, I'm going to get hammered on restocking and shipping. Might as well keep them lol. I have the larger centric rotors and ACT888 pads.

Those are not 2005-2006 calipers. They mislabeled them so I'd bitch about a restocking fee.

For visual difference

These are the front brakes of a:
2003-2004 Coupe (without brembos)
2003-2004 Sedan
2005 Sedan AWD

These are the front brakes of a:
2005-2007 Coupe
2005-2006 Sedan (except for 2005 AWD sedan)

Notice the difference? The earlier brakes are single piston, while the later brakes are dual piston.

Also, for some reason, the 2005 AWD sedan uses the older 2003-2004 single piston calipers and smaller brakes. No clue why

Easy to tell of there's two or just one piston

Upgrade complete

I did the upgrade this weekend with the parts listed at the top of thread for about $500 ... Except the dust shield for the rear. An oversight on my part. I also did the parking brake shoes while I was at it. Everything went together great and so far I'm very happy with the results. I also had replacement dual piston calipers sent to me from the company I bought the single piston ones from at no cost ... Which I thought was exceptional. They also told me to just keep the singles. So if anyone needs ... Haha. I want to thank everyone that gave input on this topic, it made me confident that I could do this myself - with basic tools. Thanks again! Until the next upgrade ...

Thanks for this thread - it really helped me pin down exactly what I needed. I just ordered all four calipers (in great condition) from Sac City Auto Parts on eBay for $160 - shipped.

After performing this upgrade has anyone upgraded the Master Brake Cylinder from 2004 to 2006? I understand that the 2006 MBC is a little longer than the 2004 but with same bore size. If you did do upgrade did you replace some of the brake lines going to/from the MBC and ABS unit?

I did not upgrade the MBC. I do not believe it's necessary.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
It's not necessary at all. I'm running Wilwood 6 piston front calipers with 2 piece rotors on the stock MC and it works just fine.

You just need to check with the caliper manufacturer, I think the Brembo 6 front 4 rear kit requires a higher volume BMC because of the much higher volume of fluid inside the caliper when you have both the front and rears installed. AP racing 6/4 is compatible with the stock BMC though and I have no clue about Wilwood but apparently it's 6/4 kit works with stock too.

Mbc g35

Thanks for the quick reply. Did do a little more research on this and what I found was that the 2006 RWD G35 uses a completely different Master Brake Cylinder [MBC]. The overall length is shorter the ports for the brake lines come off the Left side vis Right side and the mounting to the Brake booster is totally different. I did find that the MBC for the 2006 AWD is the same as the 2004-2005 RWD MBC. There is an option in 2004 for MBC if you have the Brembo Brake option. The difference between the 2004 RWD non-Brembo and 2004 Brembo is the bore size of the MBC. The Non-Brembo bore size is 1.003 and the Brembo option is 1.062. For the 2006 RWD the bore size is 1.000 on the MBC. Here is a link for some info on MBC bore size is bigger better.

Yes, the 2006-2007 SPORT PACKAGE has different calipers, rotors, and brake master cylinder.

I understand why you would go from stock brake lines to stainless. Do the stock M35/45 lines work? Why don't the G35 work? Is it where they mount to the caliper that's different, are they too short?
