ABS sensor or wheel bearing / hub ?

Hi. I am new guy on this forum, tried to search a lot of topics, but did not find the answer i needed. Here is my situation: I have 2004 G35 sedan, RWD. I had ABS, SLIP and VDC lights on. Went to service shop and got code C1108 - Front Left Sensor 2. I took off the wheel, and checked out the sensor - looks fine, clean and good condition. But the ring that it points to has couple pieces that broke off. Could this be a reason? I am not sure but I think it is a bearing from the hub / wheel bearing assembly ? My question is - Do I need to replace the whole hub/bearing assembly, or this ring can be replaced individually ? On other car I have there is a tone ring with teeth, but nothing like that on infiniti.. where does the speed sensor gets its signal from? the bearing?
Let me know please. Thank you for help !
I am attaching couple pictures. Also - can I just unplug the speed sensor, ? will the lights go away or not ?

Boy, that's odd! I cant figure how that broke off. Mine did the same (all lights on) but it was a broken wire on the sensor.

YOu can't just unplug the sensor the brakes will freak out. My guess is the missing pieces are throwing the sensor off but I think that ring is integrated into the hub. Not sure though so don't quote me on that.

According to the Service Manual it is integral to the hub(Pg. 68 BRC.) It looks like someone has previously tried to pry it out.

Good Luck!

I don't think there are any other options. Looks to be a pretty simple replacement procedure assuming you have a tool to separate the lower ball joint. In my experience the upper one doesn't put up much of a fight.

Yeah, the tone ring is built into the hub. I've had to replace that before when a shop was a little careless installing my SPC camber kit shims.

Same symptoms, ABS going nuts for a few seconds after first starting to drive, then all lights on.
