Camber Kit Question

What are the benefits of a camber kit? My G is lowered 2 inches on bilsteins and my mechanic reccomended me to get a camber kit. I decided on the SPC kit if I do purchase it but I want to make sure I really want it first.. can anyone convince me to get it lol?
Its either that or saving up for a tdx2 exhaust

You technically do not need a camber kit until you decide you are sick of having to replace tires that are only worn on one side. If you have a combination of excess toe and camber, then you will be tearing through tires very quickly.

^ Longer lasting tires along with a wider range of camber adjustments... I personally don't run them. Not bad enough for me. Like mentioned above, it depends on you and your preference. +1 on the toe settings.

Generally tire wear, but also adds to performance on turning.

Yeah you'll burn through tires so fast. Happened to me. I also noticed that I "slipped" a lot more when I brought it to high rpms. Something that never happened till I lowered my car. Your inner tire wear on your rears is what you should be concerned of. My fronts didn't really wear as much but the rear is definitely noticeable.

You slipped a lot more simply because you didn't have much traction because your car is riding on only the corners of the tires. What camber is good for though is more traction in the turns.

Some people just don't get it.

CAMBER - does not affect tire wear as much as you think.

TOE - #1 cause of tire wear no matter what your camber settings are.

I'm at -2.1 rear camber and -3 front with 0 TOE all around. I'm have 14k miles on my current tires. They are staggered and directional. I probably won't need to flip tires for another 5-10k miles. 0 toe does wonders.

^^^ THIS

I'm only lowered 1" all round and I get 22 to 25K out of a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's, even with rotation every 6-8K. They are worn on the inside more than anywhere else. If I could get them back in spec, I might get another 10K out of them. The camber in the back is -1.2 and about the same in the front, it really helps in the twisties tho.

Mixed feelings for camber kit now
Would you get TDX2 over a camber kit first?

^^ It is really up to you as it has been stated before. If you feel you need it, get the camber kit. If you dont than get the exhaust. Simple as that. I myself have my coils and spl camber kit.

Before getting a camber kit take your car to a alignment shop and see how close they can get everything back to OEM spec with a 2 inch drop they should be able to get pretty close. As said before Toe is the only thing you have to worry about.

Also, depending on how far out of wack it is, you may be able to get away with camber bolts. Rather than a whole new arm.

Could you link me to where I could buy those bolts..?
Cause my brother who has a SI just has bolts for his camber and his is fine so if I could get that and save a couple of hundred bucks then that would be great
