If you removed your seat, that means you also disabled your driver side curtian airbag. Point was, if you are willing to illegaly remove your airbags and jeopardize passengers lives to shave 5 pounds, why not just remove whole interior and shave acouple hundred pounds?

That is seat only. Did you also install the 10lb slider brackets or just bolt the seat right to the floor?

Whole interior would maybe net 20-40lbs.

Huh? You are claiming you dropped 100lbs with just seats and airbags, but whole interior is only 20-40lbs?

Whole interior is close to 250lbs kid. Many have done full track strip on the coupe, comes in right about 200lbs and switching to lexan total came to about 260lbs.

My point being. Airbags should only ever be removed if it is a track only dedicated car. You would save more weight by simply driving 15 miles, than you saved by pulling an airbag.
(Gallon of gas is 6.2lbs, airbag is 5lbs)

Someone needs to calm down!! Kid?? Really?

Interior that I was referring to was the headliner, carpet rear seats door cards and plastic trim. Now I know the rear seats can't be more then 10-20lbs, the headliner maybe 5-10 lbs and carpet another 10-15 lbs. as for the rest I don't really care. Thanks again for your positive input "kid".

Headliner, carpet, trim doesn't count as full interior, it counts as headliner, carpet, and trim. Full interior is full interior, ie track car. Like I said, full inteior strips have been done before (you are not the first person to ever think of this in 10 years) and it right about 200 lbs.
Pulling airbags to shave 5 pounds on a street driven car is as stupid as it is illegal kid. Only a fool would pull an airbag to shave 5lbs, then refuse to pull headliner to shave 5-10lbs.

It's his car, he can do what he wants. As long as what he does doesn't affect me, I could care less.
