G35 Coupe "Sport Package"
Suspension Changes/Upgrades, Need Advice.

2005 Coupe with 40K miles from new ownership. current suspension mods are RS*R 350Z Ti2000 springs, Hotchkis sways, SPC A arms and camber arms and Tokico 350 Z D-Specs.

going to be swapping out F/R springs and old version SPC A arms with the revised SPC A arms.

since car only has 40K and is more or less like new condition, is there anything else we should look at while we are in there. anything prone to early wear and tear that may need to be replaced. would like to be prepared just in case. only doing this job once.

thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations.

nice list of things to look at doing. even for a low mileage garage queen that never sees rain or winter? is this car prone to early failure of these components? suggestions for replacement parts as I would assume OEM is no good. thanks.

For a car with such low mileage, I'm surprised at the above list especially since it's a garage queen. My question is. Why are you pulling everything out. Is it hard on your back, do you want something new. Good suspension components are good suspension components. Doing it right the first time negates ever having to do it again. Which is why I don't understand why you want to do it again. Sounds like you already did it right. One more thing. Modifying your car and never or rarely driving it is like marrying the woman of your dreams and never or rarely having sex with her. That's like winning a hundred million dollars in the lottery and only spending a dollar a day or keeping a crappy job you hate. One things for sure. When you finally let her go. Somebody is going to get a brand new car. That's what I got when I bought my G. It's a 2005 I bought in 2013 and it only had 25,000 miles on it and it's in pristine condition.

Absolutely. Especially the bushings. They've been known to go in just a few months. Polyurethane is the best option for the comp rods and LCAs. Energy or Whiteline make great options, just be sure to use a lot of silicone grease. People are gonna tell you they creak really bad, but a good slathering of silicone and I've never heard a peep.

think you are misunderstanding here. only changing out springs and A arms...nothing else. was just asking if there was anything we should look at while we are in there. Gdirtyfive55 provided a nice list of things to check over, but I am sure they are fine since it is low mileage garage queen.

with regard to the low mileage, I never drive her in rain or snow. she gets a full polishing, waxing and sealing over winter and is only fully washed with hose and bucket once a year. I love my car and take excellent care of her. she is only driven on back roads and no stop and go or short trips. plan on keeping this car for a very long time as I love the sculpted lines and aftermarket part support and will continue to modify her to my taste over time.

the roads in PA/MD are not the best and the highways are full of people who do not share the road very well. I baby this car and that is called pride of ownership. and maybe one day if I do decide to let her go, someone will be very appreciative of the car they will be getting.

my daily driver is a modified 2003 VW Passat GLX wagon. it is black and after 11 years on the roads between MD/PA, you should see the damage done. try to keep this car in great condition as well, but between the roads, birds and careless people it is difficult. this car is also maintained at the highest levels and is professionally detailed twice a year.

yes, I would like to have a new car some day soon, but it is nice not having car payments and being able to use that money for modifications, maintenance and wheels.

hope you enjoy your G as much as I do mine.

thanks again for the heads up list. we will look at everything and go from there. not looking for poly as have been down that road in past. too stiff and can become noisy as you mention. I am 47 and drive my car for pleasure, but also want to maintain OEM feel and comfort. no track days for this car. appreciate your help, but the guys that work on my cars also build Porsche race cars aside from being Euro specialists. if they see anything in question, it will be replaced.
