New to coilovers

Okay I know this been covered before but I live in Long Island New York which the roads are very very bumpy and I am looking for coil overs for a daily driver 2006 coupe.so I wanted to see if anyone else that lives in these type of conditions have had a good experience with a comfortable coil over thank you

Im running Megan Coils on my 08' G35x. I too am from the long island area. I have the dampenings 12 clicks from hard and its a good enough ride for me. I did have them on soft for awhile but with NY's shitty roads I kept rubbing my tires on the fenders on a slight dip. Overall though, I have no complaints about the ride comfort.

Comfort is really relative man I have KW's and I have em set pretty stiff, and I'm fine with em, but I have a friend who has Tein comfort sports, set at almost full soft, and doesn't like em because they're too stiff. I think he's a Pu$$y, but it's hard to recommend anything without knowing your comfort level.

Thanks for the response. I've been looking into BC racing or stance with swift springs or d2 I'm just confused on which to pull the trigger on

My brother has d2s on his Cadillac and he seems to like em. most people with Gs go with Stance or BC though.

Most people upgrade the spring on both of those too right?

I've been on D2's for about 3 years and have no complaints.

I have the same setup you just bought and you're gonna love it! I'm at 8 from full stiff, so I don't rub, and its not that bad imo. If you go to around 20 from full stiff its really comfy as long as you have the right tires

I started with BC Coils on my G. Switched to D2 when there was a knock I couldn't get rid of. My buddy also had BC's before he went to bags and he experienced the knock as well. However, I had BC's on my 300C and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED them. So, I still give them a good nod overall. Great customer service (directly) as well. But, on our cars, they just don't seem to work out for the extremely slammed over the long term. I should say we were both extremely slammed...on shitty NY roads.

If you drop, then your going to have a negative camber. If you want, you can get a camber kit. Try KW or Tein street comfort.

Any time you alter your factory suspension, you SHOULD get a kit that allows for adjustability so that you can get back to factory specs should you choose. However, if you're slammed, you have a camber kit to add more negative camber so you can get lower. Not the other way around. But, it's always recommended either way. Just not always needed based on your goals.
