Wondering if anyone's got one of these installed and what you think of it..? Big difference? Barely noticeable? I know chassis bracing is important in muscle cars but our cars are already super balanced.

Anyway, its $309 from conceptz and I'm literally just reaching for mods right now. Haha

If you mean the strut tower brace, then that's just for looks. I know I'm gonna start an argument here, haha, but for a strut brace to actually work it has to be connected in a triangle. Basically it has to go from across the top and then be connected to the firewall. If you can find something like that, it'll actually stiffen the chassis.

Well I think this brace would matter most if your turbo, twin turbo, and or supercharged... Getting this brace for a stock set up in my opinion would be pointless... We don't have that much torque stock... But I'am assuming peeps with FI mods might run this.....

That's kinda why I'm wondering, cuz we're right on that cusp of it making a difference, and our chassis aren't that stiff.

Example: when I jack up the front of my car the rear of the car comes up a little bit, but not much (relative to the front). My buddies ms3 has major bracing (struts tied to the firewall and everything) and a stiff chassis from the factory and when he jacks the front of his car up, the whole damn car raises evenly. Now granted he's a good 2-300lbs lighter (but relatively similar amt of tq), I've gotta think that the lack of flex in the chassis is keeping that power on the ground.

If no one here owns this mod (I mean if no one says anything about it in the next week or two, I'll guinea pig this b!tch gladly.

I have the complete GTspec chassis bracing set and it makes a big difference with HARD driving. If you are just a daily driver with the occasional enthusiastic run, then it will probably be more annoying than beneficial since it takes away some ground clearance.

My chassis / suspension setup...

Jeez, man, are you FI? That's gotta add a ton of weight to the car. I feel like all benefits would be lost with an NA motor just by adding all that weight.

EDIT: nvm, I see that a lot of those are aftermarket replacement parts.

And overall, my car weighs MUCH less than most...

- no A/C
- no audio
- completely gutted interior
- completely gutted trunk
- carbon fiber seats
