Brembo Retrofits!

Brembo Retrofits!
So, the new popular thing to do is the Akebono upgrade but there is a group of guys doing SRT8 front/rear 4/4pot 6/4pot and also the 17z/18z Porsche front. While some are okay with running a 4/2 pot system like our OEM Brembos and Akebono, I feel that I will need better stopping power. I looked around and looked for some alternatives. There's the usual Stop Tech and Rotora, then I found the SRT8 group.
After doing some research, I decided it wasn't for me. Material being shaved off gets me sketched out. Losing out on integrity of the vehicle is just a nono in my eyes.
Anyone have any other alternatives? BMW Brembo? Cadillac CTS-V?
Does anyone has information on Brembo GT's and what they came off of?
I'm looking for a larger 4 or 6 pot and a 4 pot rear and would like NOT to compromise bias.
ALL INFORMATION WELCOME!

there are people doing ctsv brembo swaps but none currently available for the 350z/g35 chassis. mostly for the 300zx and 240.
your current options short of makkng your own adapter bracket are the ones you posted.

has a set of 17z 6pot fronts with brackets for sale. or you can buy em off rockauto for like 160$ish a piece plus 150$ for the adapter but then you would have to get them pc'ed or painted

They're still working on it... I at least am happy to see that on Driver more people are interested in upgrading to a larger 6/4 pot. Out on My350z, they are all content with 4/2 pot brembos with such small contact area.

Tod is a good guy, he'll take care of you guys...
I didn't mention that my michelin pilot super sports were rubbing on my rear fender so I haven't driven yet with the new kit... I'll throw some pics up tonight when I'm rolling the fenders some more... I went with black calipers and slotted rotors.
Others have described this kit as overkill unless you are tracking the car. The rotors are 14" in front, same as akebono but they weigh 19 pounds as opposed to 30 (2 piece akebonos are available, but everybody has akebonos)
The calipers weigh maybe 2 pounds each...
I don't regret my decision at all, I would have if I went brembo or akebono.
Guys with brembos call them brownbos because after some time at the track they overheat and become discolored... The benefit to them is they are very light but like you said they lack in contact area and the rotors don't have much to them to absorb heat.
Did I mention you don't have to remove the calipers to change out the pads?
Overall this kit will give you better stopping power than akebonos, better looks, and significant weight savings for the same cost (assuming you went with two piece rotors from z1 for the akebono's)
