Camaro SS Brembo on G35?

I found a set of Brembos from an SS Camaro locally for reeeaaally cheap and was wondering if anyone knows if any adapters were made for this type of conversion, or what I would have to do to make this work - if at all possible (change rotors as well?)

I've seen some FRS owners do this with Brembos from a Cadillac ATS, so I was wondering if this could be done in a similar manner for the G35 coupe - or if I'm better off just sticking with the Akebono swap.

I tried looking into the Cadillac CTSV brembos and found that too much material on the spindle has to be removed/ground down in order for a bracket to fit properly. This would be using 355mm G37 rotors.

Brackets do exist to bolt up Jeep SRT8, as well as Porche (17Z/18Z) 6-pot calipers, to the G35/350Z chassis.

Akebono is the most common, and path of least resistance. Other options do exist, just not the fairly cheap GM calipers, lol.

Didn't know that the 17z and 18z calipers can be bolted up to te G/Z. Who provides the brakcets? Did you look into which one is more appropriate in terms of piston sizing for our platform when paired with brembo or stock rears?

I don't recall off hand, but I think the 17Z had the same piston sizes as the 6-pot CTSV. Also matched up better with Akebono rear calipers.

Brackets, how-to docs, and lots more info are in this Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BremboAdaptersByECP/

Very nice, thank you for the link. I see someone has a 17z kit for sale on there. If you're correct the 18z would match up better with the brembo rears. Either way this is a pretty cool solution for anyone looking to build a budget 6 piston brembo front setup.

Per the ECP site the akebono front rotors are used for both the 17z and 18z with their brackets. Do you know if that's correct?

ECP uses G37 sport rotors (akebono) for all of their caliper brackets.
