If so what would you all recommend from the Hawk line that will hiold up at teh track but I can also use as a daily driver? If this is false what other recommendations do people have.

The HPS is crap for track duty. You need dedicated track pads for cars as heavy as ours. DTC-60 is what you want if you need to stick to Hawk. Otherwise, carbotech xp10 or equivalent.

I was looking at various websites to find where I can buy Hawk DTC-60 pads for a 2006 G35x Standard (non-brembo) but no luck anyone have any suggestions?

Alright, Alright, Alright, Just finished my first Track Attack event at Mission Raceway which is known as a brake killer. Used G-Loc R-16 Pads and stock rotors. Pads held up nicely with only very slight fade. Very happy

Awesome, yeah for a 2000F degree rated pad that's great for track purposes. Definitely not what you would want for street use though because cold bite will be nonexistant.

Glad you found something you like.

Surprisingly I've been driving it around town and other than the dust and the noise its fine for normal driving even when cold. Surprised the hell out of me!!

You won't feel much of a difference under normal light braking but if you go out on the highway on cold brakes and really stand on them it will feel like really bad brake fade for the first couple times until you get them up to a hundred degrees or so, depends on the pads. It's just something to be aware of on the first couple of stops.

Keep the thread updated for long term use. Interested to see how much dust they generate over a couple thousand miles as well as how long your rotors last.
