ok , let me give you a little history on the 350GT Skyline.
I picked the car up about 12 months back , on the open road it was great, no knocks rattles or bangs but on uneven surface I get a knocking sound from the near side front.
on the MOT it had down as slight misting on front near side shock. OK I thought that we be it so replaced both sides ,,,, still there.
front and rear D bushes , drop links , strut mounts .upper and lower arms. inner and outer ty rod ends , and still not joy ?
I even put on a second hand rack.
today I popped round to a mates garage to use his ramp to wax oil the car, he went for a quick test drive in it,,,sounds like the rack he said, he jacked up the car on the near side moving the steering wheel left to right and that's were the knocking sounds like its coming from ?
any one else with this issue please let me no as I don't want to spend out if not the problem ?

 

If the sound occurs when moving the steering wheel like that I would suspect tie rod ends but you say you just replaced them? Did you do inner AND outer rod ends or just the outers?
