Z1 FUCA snap noise

So I've finally isolated a noise at 3/4 full lock of the wheels (left or right) as well as on slow bumps. Noise was a decently loud click/snap, determined to be coming from the FUCA area (had my hand on it while turning wheel, felt the movement/noise). Anybody else have this problem? Trying to figure out if it's the ball joint hitting the chassis (the boot rubs up against it) or if it's part of the arm itself breaking. No weird feeling aside from the noise (which sounds like someone snapping their fingers but with more bass, if that makes sense).

I think you should inspect the ball joint, definitely retorque the nut.

Retorqued the ball joint nut, all good. Sprayed every bushing/joint with silicone spray and the driver-side noise is almost entirely gone, while the passenger one is the same. I did notice the endlinks look a tiny bit off parallel from the ground, but my usual shop with a four postnis closed...my guess is dead endlinks(s), as I've got a full stiff Hothkiss with SPD endlinks up front that are three years old. I plan on getting the race joints for the FUCA soon anyways, so a rebuild is in order

I had a similar 'pop' noise coming from the front end when hitting bumps too. Turned out that my sway bar end links were shot.

Same here. Check those endlinks. I also got this sound when the new ones were not bolted tight enough too.

+1 This!
You need to crank down on them good. Torque spec T for tight.
