cruise control stopped working and my brake pedal appears to be unique

So I have the problem with the cruise control not engaging on my 2005 g35 sedan. I get the flashing set light. I have bought a new cruise control cancel switch and installed it and adjusted to specs listen in the manual I've got my cruise to work occasionally but then it will cancel itself and start flashing the set light.

So these rubber stoppers here: are used to push the switches on the brake switch and cruise control cancel switch

https://www.z1motorsports.com/brake-...IaAtPrEALw_wcB

and if you look at brake pedal assemblies for automatic g35's here on ebay you can see there is a rubber stopper for each switch on the brake pedal

The issue I have is that my brake pedal assembly only has one hole for a rubber stopper and it's not aligned with either switch. it's actually in the dead center of both switches if I put a rubber circular stopper in there like the ones sold at z1motorsports. it wouldn't touch either switch.
Do I really need a rubber stopper to hit my brake switches? Does anyone know if my car had a different type of rubber stopper? I haven't been able to find any brake assemblies for sale on ebay that resemble mine.

Sounds like the bracket is bent and not making contact where it should on the pedal stop.

Take a picture of your pedal switches so we can see it.

you can see it right here it's not bent. very hard to get a good picture in that tight area I can take a better one if you aren't convinced it's not bent
