Painted Brake Calipers
Just spent all day painting my brake calipers. Used a special caliper paint that is chemical resistant, and withstands 900 F.
Lot's of masking time spent! Here're a few pics.

Took me about 6 hours total! Probably easier taking off the calipers than doing the masking!
Also, put down 4 coats of paint on each.

Maybe I'll do mine when I change the pads.

Wow, you even painted the inside edges? That's dedication. I'd probably skip it, figuring anyone who gets that close a look ain't gonna live long enough to tell anyone about it.
One other thing though, I'd probably use brush caliber paints rather than spray. I know you don't want to see brush marks on them, but again: they're not gonna live to tell anyone. The spray is too frightening. I mean, what if you sneeze, or a bee flies up your nose? You'll have to cover the mess with one of those chrome fender covers.

What can I say, I'm obsessive with the details. That's why I also use clear shrink tubing on my Hyper-Ground Cables- no hiding mistakes, and [i]Sure Looks Purdy!

Here's a final pic of the rear calipers which are a bit smaller.

Re: Painted Brake Calipers
Thanks for the comments guys. I've seen painted calipers that look cheezy as well. Drops of drippy paint, and parts like the shoes, springs and clips painted as well. Looks good from a distance of 10 feet, but up close, kinda ugly.
The more time you spend on masking (or removing the parts), the better the results. Also important are thin layers of paint and some experience spray painting.
Rumble:
I'll try to take a pic later of the car.

wow! I know I'm lazy; I got the already-.painted Brembos. But your work is beautiful! I take my hat off to you. That is one fine job. Drive it in good health. And thanks for the tips on how to paint something right. (the closest I've come is prepping and painting some centerpieces for mag wheels--it was quite a process and when finished it looked new.)

I couldn't get the calipers to show up very well with a pic of the whole car. The camera keeps adjusting to compensate for the white car, so you can hardly see the calipers. I took two separate views instead.
