i was wondering if anyone tried ceramic brake pads on their brembos and if you did how is it? is it soft on the rotors? is braking distance increased or decreased? and how big of a difference is there in brake dust? thanks

 

i personally have not used them but others have compared them ...


i think they were the satisfied pros found at tirerack...

there easy on rotors
lower brake dust than stock
grap is similar to stock but not as good as hawks or project mu's
noise none

my opinion ..get some project mu's or hawks you wont be disappointed

 

okk thanks :] i just dont want to have to clean my rims so often because the brembos sprays a lot of brake dust so anything that is as good as brembos or better with less brake dust will be good :]

 

I thought they didn't have ceramic brake pads for our brembos? I could be mistaken, but all i could find were for the AT.

 

oh i dont even know lol i just read the advertisement somehwere and i was wondering how well cermaic brakes worked i dont know if they fit the brembos or not :[

 

I have ceramics from Auto Zone and their fine. No Brake dust and it's been two weeks !!!!! I don't know how to act as I cleaned those wheels almost daily. They do, however, squeak a little but mainly when in reverse. I love them and they grab nicely also. Can't say about rotor damage yet but they perform fine !!!!!
