Can Sedan run bigger rotors with stock calipers?
Can Sedan run bigger rotors with stock calipers?
I've been devoured with my new R5 rims that the Sedan rotors are tiny (I have to agree with that a bit) well.. does anyone know if you can run bigger rotors with the stock calipers?

Great price, great looks, improved braking (both cold and hot) and no change in brake bias.

The kit uses a bracket to relocate the caliper.
I'm running RB rotors & they are a great product.. TOP quallity
ALL non-Brembo cars are the same (pre '05)
I just saw that there was a mini group buy for the racingbrakes rotors earlier this month and NOBODY signed up for it.

Holy crap! I've never seen this. These are awesome!
I was quoted close to $5000 to have 14" Stoptech BBK kit (parts + install). with Racing Brake's front and back - that's $1700 with stock calipers (can be painted red
) - the only thing this kit is missing is steel-braded brake lines and good Motul brake fluid. that'd still make it under $2000. that's like $2500 or so in savings!
now, let me stop being a cheap-a$$ for a little while and ask this:
1. will this brake kit perform better than OEM?
2. will this brake kit perform close to Stoptech's?
i realize stoptech BBK comes with 4-piston calipers - but will i notice a difference if i a) don't track my car and b) may go with FI in near future...
I'm emailing Rob @ Z Car Garage, let's see if he has an opinion.

/me watches thread2. Perform where? On the street doubt you'll see much of a difference between the two. On the track, depending on how hard you are working your brakes and skill level, I would say that the Stoptechs are better due to the 4 piston, lightweight caliper design that allows better brake modulation.
Good thing about the Racing Brake kit is that you can get the BBK look you want at all four corners for relatively cheap and still have something that will perform better at the track over OEM. Also pads are cheaper to replace than say Stoptech ST-40 caliper specific pads.
But for someone like myself who is more into performance than looks I would rather spend that same $1,700 on a front only full BBK kit, since the majority of the work is at the front wheels anyways.
Having said that the Racing Brake kit looks like a really good in between solution. The one thing I would want to know is how much, if any, of the brake bias was aletered with their kit.
