Rotor Upgrade (stock brembo) - Pricing Poll

**EDIT** There is not going to be a "rotor upgrade kit" made for resale as there was not enough interest shown. I will, however, be selling the kit that is on my car which has 200 miles on it. My kit will include front 15.2" slotted/drilled rotors, Axxis pads (new in box), 13" slotted/drilled rear rotors (new in box) and Axxis rear pads (new in box).

As this project finally comes close to completetion I wanted to gauge some more interest and try to find out a fair price point. For a little background, these kits are being designed and worked on by a company that builds brake kits for a very large name aftermarket braking company These kits are being designed with every intention to bolt-on like an OEM rotor/pad replacement would be installed. With that in mind, please choose fairly/methodically on this poll; I have already spent all the time and money using my car and wallet as the guineau pig for this project (no thanks needed ).

Just for reference, the Endless Rotor upgrade kit (stock size), with blue rotor hats goes for $1070.00 (+). These rotors are not directional vane, to my knowledge, are only stock size and slotted (not drilled). The Endless kit also does not come with brake pads or SS lines.

This poll is for general pricing, nothing is firm, and is posted for 14" application rotor replacement kit for the front rotors (with brembo's of course).

The rotors are directional vane, slotted and drilled (as pictured below) and will be 355mm in diameter (roughly 14.2"). There will also be provided stock stainless steel lines to replace the outer most brake line (this is optional, stock lines will work). The kit will also include a set of brake pads, most likely Axxis pads, and all 'bracketry' to fit like OEM. All brackets are CNC'd and will be anodized black to reduce rusting. All bolts/nuts/washers will be provided as well. There will be a 15" rotor kit offered as well, but it seems that most people will want 14" rotors as they will fit behind the stock 18" wheels. To nip the argument about drilled rotors cracking in the bud, being that these are much larger that stock, are wider, are directional vane and have better brake pads, the likelihood of them cracking is nearly impossible (unless under absolute extreme conditions).

Here are some pictures of the 380mm rotors (roughly 15.2") partially installed on my car:

This is not a "For Sale" thread and is not promoting any company or persons trying to make money without following the rules setup by this forum. This poll is only to gain demographic information to better suit a potential deal to be setup at a later date.

very interesting. i'd have to be honest and say under $1k. why? because of exposure, and unknown like measures. i without a doubt trust you if you say a product is good, based on your enthusiast background. good deals. keep us informed.

Feel free to post some opinions while voting guys.. I'd like to know if there is any particular reason for the prices chosen, or if it is merely a wallet consideration?

I WAS interested in this Brembo rotor upgrade almost a year ago when you first started talking about them. After several months I Couldn't wait any longer and got the A.P.Racing B.B.kit.
This rotor upgrade looks really good though, you should be able to sell a bunch of them...

I am on it as long it is not ridiculously priced. Seems like a good upgrade/replacement sets. Kudos to you for trying to put it together. Lets get a bulk order!

Yeah yeah yeah.. it was out of my hands, but you can always go back haha.

Hopefully all of the measurements will be done today for the 14" setup. My guy is on vacation for a week at the end of this week and when he gets back we should be able to get the ball rolling!

Glad to see some more feedback in the poll.. feel free to ask questions or post opinions.

Depends on availability and price of replacement rotors. Who's the company? Coleman?

they look pretty good. I'm not diggin the extra amount of metal though. I'd like to reduce the amount of rotating mass, not increase it. jmho. how much? hard to say...because they're custom peices, x4; I'd say about $800-$1000.

If they were proven to stop better than stock...maybe $200 a piece? I honestly probably wouldn't even look to spend that much but anything lower doesn't seem right. I personally would look to buy them if I needed new rotors and these were just a bit more $$ than stockers...and just as easy to replace and use with the stock calipers.

Cannot release company name due to forum guidelines.. There will definitely be a 'lower' cost on the first 10-15 sets, and from there it will probably go up a little (as all things do in this market).

I am not an engineer so I can't argue rotational mass because I don't know enough about it, but I can tell you that we are shedding 6.5 lbs by going to the larger 2-piece rotor. You are also eliminating a very large amount of heat with larger directional vane rotors, as well as having drilling/slotting.

So... $400.00 is a fair price for 2 355mm rotors, 2 CNC'd brackets, 2 CNC'd brake hats, a set of Axxis brake pads and all hardware? Stock size brembo blanks are on ebay for $160-200.00, plus $60-100.00 for brake pads and you think an additional $40-60.00 is a fair offer for a larger rotor setup? These are not being made in a large scale amount, so the price point on them cannot be as low as something cranked out in a factory. I understand that everyone wants to save as much money on things and that this deal is not going to be for everyone. Thank you for your opinion though.

I wasn't thinking about all the brackets, hats, nor the pads and hardware. I haven't looked at rotor replacements for a while as the Supra TT I previously owned had some pretty diesel brakes as is, and I don't know much about pricing.

I guess a better statement might be I'd be willing to look into buying something like this if it was a reasonable $$ premium over stock rotors and they stopped better.
