Lowering my G35c . . . NEED HELP!

I want to lower my '05 G35c. I'm thinking about some Eibach or Tein springs just to lower the car about 1 to 1.2 inches!

First, will the lowering affect my alignment and will I need to get a toe and camber kit installed, or should I be okay with out the toe and camber kit?

Second, how will this affect the ride and handling from the stock suspension setup?

Third, how will my coupe look with the new lowered suspension on my stock 19's?

Any advice would be very helpful!

Thanks for any help.

1) Yes, you will need an alignment. Probably. That of course depends on if you think you need it or not.

2) People have reported stock ride quality.

3) Lowered.

Tein S front .9" drop rear 1.1" drop ride is close to stock but you will feel the difference on hwy speed. Yes, you will need an alignment. No need for camber kit it's not that low so you should be fine. Car will look tight I'm happy with mine.

So, I should go with the Tein S Tech springs over the Eibach Sportline springs?

I want a nice clean look for my G without getting too low and sacrificing too much ride comfort. I just want my stock 19's to look better on a lowered G!

How do Tein S Tech Springs (1.2 front and .9 rear) compare to Eibach Sporline Springs (1.6 front and 1.4 rear)?

Thanks again!

Oh crap I got the drop measurements backwards. It's all up to you I will be changing my setup soon to full coilovers suspension. I have this setup for over 2 years now and I was happy for about 9 months. After that I think the springs needed help cus it feels softer than stock. I think it can be fixed with an aftermarket shock absorber. From previous experience with Eibachs I don't like those from the get go, but that's just me.

Camber adjustments are always needed since stock specs are now being changed...with out a camber kit, you will never get a perfect alignment...and may get light to moderate feathering. On a black car, this drop will give the illusion that it is lower than it really is due to all the "darkness" from the body to the fender well gap to the black tires....it all blends well. Ride handling will be better or equal to OEM sports suspension with a light to moderate drop.

Have you ever gotten tire rubbing with the Tein S Tech springs?

Thanks.

i have a question here. i also want to lower my G but my rears are 275/40R18 and there are about 2 fingers space and if i do get tein s-techs, will it rub in the rear because the rear looks really good now but the front is a little to high. here is the pic:http://www.streetracing.org/events/d...bum=322&pos=73 hope it works

I just installed my EIBACH Prokits with Tokico D-Specs on my 05 6MT last week.

It feels better than stock SPORT SUSPENSION by a long shot!!! I have my shocks set at 4 full turns out from full hard and they feel great. Less roll when cornering. Doesn't feel like a lowered car. Not too stiff. Less harsh than stock.

However the drop was more than the advertised 1" and still settling. It has been about a week. I'm gonna go thru two more tanks of gas then take it in for an alignment.

From what I have read, I will need front camber arms, rear camber AND toe arms. Gonna go with Stillen all around. 849 Front, 749 Rear.
