Getting my Ride Drop Need hel(info)

Im getting my ride drop this weekend with a tein spring 1.2 front and .9 on the rear. My question is the alignment part, cuz pepz told me that the g35 front has no adjustment for alignment and the rear would need a camber kit.
Do i have to buy a camber kit front and back?
Do you guys think its worth to drop the car? cuz i check the price for the front camber kit and its 800 for the front.

Thnx
Rich

I'd like to know the answer to this question as well!

I just bought Tein S. Techs for my '05 G35-6mt!

ive had the Tein S-Techs on my 04 coupe for about 6 months now. if oyu have any aftermarket front bumper, say goodbye to your paint.

anyways on to the camber problem, the front and rear tires do wear unevenly without the camber correction kit. i have taken it to 3 different body shops as well as the dealership, and no one has been able to get the camber perfect. its jsut a drawback unfortunately, but definately worth it.

if you want to lower the car correctly then buy a set of front arms and a camber correction kit. It will cost you anywhere from $600-$1000 depending on what brand you get, but you can pay now or pay more later. The pay more later comes when you have to buy new tires every couple of months.

Well said. The cost of these tires is way more that what a camber kit would cost you in the long run. The tire wears unevenly in stock form. Dropping it would only make it more agressive in wearing the tires up.

I agree as well. I have been running the Tein basic damper kit with about a 1.75 front and 1.5 rear drop and the tires do wear a little quicker. A good alignment shop can get the rear camber and caster pretty close. Caster being way off will actually wear your tires out faster than negative camber. If you are intersted I have a brand new set of Kinetix adjustable front upper a-arms for sale for $220 shipped. If you decide to go lower on the rear there is a camber mod somewhere on this site that involves drilling on the rear lower a-arm mounting point and inserting a small spacer. Do some research before you decide which way to go. There are a lot of options, opinions, and stories on this site.

SPC has an inexpensive ($220) camber correction kit for the rear. it works well. When I lower my car with Tein Flex w/EDFC, I am going to install the 350evo front arms and the spc rear camber kit.

The SPC is a great rear kit to go with. It includes the full camber arms and toe bolts. The toe bolts adjust from the factory toe location.

PM me if you have any questions.

Re:

After installing the Tein S-Techs in my G, can I get by with just a basic front and rear alignment from the dealership?

This was my original plan!

Well, the problem is that the factory adjustments will not allow you to get back to factory specs. Wish I could tell you otherwise.

If you are unsure, lower the car and see if a local shop will provide you with a computer printout of your current standings. From there, you will be able to see if a camber kit is in your future.
