Differents in 350Z OEM suspension between years
Again - the bounce found in the 2003 350z is caused by the valving in their OEM shocks. The notorious Z bounce is not caused by the springs (original or revised rates).
Z springs will give aproximately a 0.5" drop on a G35 Coupe.
Z springs will give aproximately a 0.5" drop on a G35 Coupe.
If a person is to use the revised rear springs with the 427 rate, then that person would be best served using the 350Z revised shock or a G35 coupe sport suspension shock that was valved specifically for that spring. Either that or an aftermarket shock such as Tokico D-Spec or Koni Yellow. The other OEM rear shocks are too underdamped when mated to the 427 rate rear spring.
I'm assuming you have a sedan and I would say bad idea because your stock rear shocks will be a bit underdamped with a 427 rear spring. Do yourself a favor and just get the whole "revised" suspension package with the shocks and springs. You can get the whole thing for under $200 in the classifieds.
I'm in the same boat here... I think.... this thread is a tad confusing BUT I have a 2005 Sedan with the sport package. I have a lead on a set of '05 350Z springs and was about to buy them when I came across this thread.
So am I to understand that the rear shocks on my sedan (again.... sport package) are not adequate for the firmer springs from the 350Z and will wear out quickly?
I simply wanted a slightly lower ride and was told by various people here on the forums that simply getting the 350Z springs would be okay as long as I got them off a '05 or '06 350Z.
Seriously... I would like to know before I buy these springs.
Thanks guys!

You have a 2005 sedan w/sport suspension which means you have 314/342 spring rates. The '05,'06 Z springs are 314/427. According to our suspension guru Gsedan35, he tested the 427 rear spring on a shock meant for the 342 spring. His comments was that the shock was underdamped for that level of spring rate. So yes, to answer your question it is not adequate. If you want a 1" drop all around get the unrevised 350Z springs from '03, '04 which have the same 314/342 spring rate as your springs.

I have a 2005 G35 Sedan and do not have the Sport Suspension, so what springs should I go with?

yeah...I would like to know the answer to this. I have the AWD sedan and plan on using the springs that the regular non sport supension sedan should use.
The non sport suspension is quite a bit softer in the spring rates and the damping valving.
G35 sedan non sport 238/308
If you want to lower your car about an 1" all around and want to use your stock shocks I'd suggest the Eibach Pro Kit for the sedan.
Eibach G35 Sedan 1.1”/1.1” drop on sedan
Spring rates in LBS
initial/final front 259/334
initial/final rear 359/416
F +6% R +21% (looking at peak rates and in comparison to a sport suspended sedan)
F +18% R +34% (looking at peak rates only and in comparison to a non sport sedan)
Side Note: The sedan Eibachs were developed on a non sport sedan, they did not use a sport suspended car to do the R&D work.
If you want stiffer springs I'd suggest upgrading to an OEM sport suspension or a 350Z suspension. Or you can go aftermarket spring with aftermarket shocks.
Read this thread.

Are these from an '04 with UNREVISED springs or did the guy who sold me these lie to me just to make a buck?! I specifically told him what I needed and he assured me that they were off his '04 and were the unrevised version.
