I am trying to find out whats the differents in the Stock OEM Suspension between the years of the 350Z, thats would be including the different models available, like convertable, performance, track, etc. I hear that there are different spring rates in the rear from 03-04 and 04.5-05, but when i try looking for part number I see there there are different number for cars coming with and without the 18in wheels. I am also looking in to the differents in shocks.

The reason I am asking is cause I have a G35 sedan and am looking to lower the car with the stock 350Z suspension. I have a set 03 on now but the car seems to bounce alot. I am not looking for that. I just put on a set of the stiffer 04.5 rear springs and it seems to still be bouncing. Can someone please let me know. If someone has a list of part number for the shocks or/and springs please list them here.

From what I've learned reading the '03's and some of the early '04's had the unrevised setup. 314/342 spring rates and shocks that some classified as bouncy. Sometime in '04 the Z's went to a revised suspension setup where the shocks were revalved and the rear springs were stiffer at 427. This all applies to the coupe. There was no difference betewen the different models of the coupe suspension wise. Not sure what the exact story is on the convertible though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was the unrevised ('03/'04) 350Z dampers that were the bouncing culprits - not the springs. I know several folks using the old springs with no bouncing issues. -T

He really wastn't blaming the springs for the bounce issues, rather he was pointing to one of the way's to I.D. the offending setup.

The revised 350Z springs have two red dots and one purple dot on the front and one pink dot on the rear. They revised them half way through the '04 model year. Not sure on the exact date.

No bounce. The infamous "bounce" comes from the unrevised 350Z shocks.

Ya these springs have those dots.. So that means these arn't the bouncing ones? Is that correct.. sorry i keep repeating my questions its just i'm trying to make sure 100% before i install them. And what benefits will these springs have? 1" drop front and rear?

it might not still bounce a bit. The revised springs have a higher spring rate. So it will be stiffer which can cause some bouncing. Tell me all the colors of the dots on the REAR springs. Front should all be the same.
