Spring install nightmare

So yeah I ended up installing 3 out of 4 springs. On my 4th spring everything was going fine...positioned the spring/shock back into place and bolted it back to the lower control arm. As I'm going to re-connect the sway bar end link rod, I see the bolt has been damaged. It was from when i tried to pound it out of the hole, the threads got damaged. I tried to use a tap/die set to rethread the bolt, but it's been damaged to badly.

Does anyone know if I can buy one of these at the dealership parts department?

lol I know that now...I should have just jacked up the lower control arm and it woulda popped right out.

I have the part # I just looked up...hopefully they have it in stock. Same part # at Nissan is $13 and at Infiniti its $18.

front endlink.

the way to remove those is to raise the control arm to about the same height on both L/R and there should be very little to no tension where you
can just pull/push out by hand.

Yeah fortunately the dealer had one in stock. Everything is back together this morning.

Yeah kenchan, I don't know why I started pounding on it, when the passenger side just popped out. Lesson learned.

sway arm bolt

another quick tip is to get both front wheels off the ground. then it will come right out. if you do not lift the other side off the ground it will have a ton of tension on it.
