Replacing Brembo Brake pad Hawking or Bendix or (OEM)?
I own a G35 6MT coupe with 32K with and the brake pads are just about worn. I need to replace them but don't know which brake pads to get. I called around at the dealerships and they're selling the front brake pad set for $250. I went to everythingG35 and there are like 3 different types and they also got the nismo's for $163. I also went to advanced auto parts (http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=219&ptset=A) and they sell the bendix brakes for Brembo package for $27.00. I hear i'll need to change my pads every 25k, from reading other forums on this site so I'd like to stay cheap. Bendix/HAWK/or OEM from the dealer?
Also how can you tell if your rotors are warped? I ran my finger across the rotor and it feels a little uneven, assuming they're warped. Any recommendations, preferrably less brake dust, but I'm more of a fan of grabby brakes.
PS: What's the deal with the 36k brake warranty. I called the dealer and he said it's not applicable to the brembo systems? Is that true? If not is there a link you can provide

replace brakes....
On a scale of 1 to 5 on aggressiveness, I drive on a 3. It's my daily driver, and I push it when I'm on open runs 85mph-90mph. I don't take it to the track but I'm thinking about it, just for fun 1-2 times a year. Don't really care about the dust, i wash once every week.

Seems there are not many people who've replaced the brembo pads with anything else than the HAWK HPS. I also was looking at the project mu brake pads as well. I'm going to go with the Satisfaction pads from tire rack, so much cheaper. Stock pads were good but left lots of break dust, didn't mind, washed every 1 to 2 weeks. Should i get my rotors re-surfaced while I'm at it? They look a little shiny, compared to when i bought the car. I hear the rotors should look dull, instead of a "glazed" look.

I use the Satisfied pro pad (not ceramic) They work just as well as OEM. I use them on the street and track with 100 degree weather @ blackhawk farm in july, and stopping from 120mph+ @ Road America this past Oct. No problems with braking or fade. These pads hardly dust at all!!! I have them on the fronts and brembo on the rear. The Rears are 5X more dirty then the front Satisfied pads.

I'm running Axxis Ultimate, b/c I wanted to try something cheaper than some of the other "high-performance" pads out there, for budget reasons. I've run them in a few AutoX days as well. So far so good, and no problems at all. I know they're not the best pads out there, but a good compromise for my daily driver that is AutoX'ed a couple times a month. Brake dust/noise is no worse than stock, from what I can tell...

OH WOW! I installed the Satisfied brake pads, front and back for $66. I take my car to the track once every 2 months, and they work great! They're a little better than OEM, i guess since they're new. Highly recommend these. Great price for the performance. They don't squeak, and come with shims. VERY LOW BRAKE DUST, compared to OEM. Make sure you put a lot of disk brake quiet from advanced auto parts just to make sure you get no squeakage. I'm sorry if you bought the Hawking HPS and got ripped off.

I recommend having your brakes bled by a dealer if you need to flush your system, or if your brakes are spongy. Usually you don't need to flush until around 60k, but I tried bleeding the brakes and its tough to do with the Brembo's, since there are 8 caliper's to bleed. def let the dealer do it, I paid $150 just to get them bled, however the whole job cost me 150 dealer +66 pads.
