Brake Pad Help

I was looking at replacing the OEM's with some Hawk HPS but I've been reading that they're not very good in cold weather. (I live in Chicago and my G is a daily driver) I would like to avoid squealing and reduce the brake dust if possible. Any suggestions?

i went with nismo r tune. a bit more, but they seem to have great bite, low dust, and no squeal so far. i only hope they last as long as the brembos.. i think they should.
i live in atlanta... so dont know about the weather issue as well, though i feel they'd stand up well, especially given a few minutes or driving.

i bought mine at performance nissan parts

What do others use in weather that is 50 degrees or below? How do the Hawks perform for you? Other alternatives? Thanks.

I just put on the HPS pads this W/E. This morning, it was about 27 F here in Edmonton. No noticeable problems with the brakes. They feel the same as OEM pads when cold. Not sure what they're going to be like when it gets to -20 C to -40 C as it's prone to at least for a week each year here.

One of the local G drivers has had his for over a year, and I haven't heard that the Hawks were a problem for him last year.

Hey thanks! I know I don't have a lot to worry about since I am in San Diego. But I know there are a lot of G owners like me that want to put aftermarket pads on without any problems. So any help is always appreciated.

I will need new pads (maybe rotors) in the next few months. I am debating between Hawk HPS and the EBC greenstuff. I don't autocross or anything like that, I just want a replacement for the OEMs without noise and dust, but still the same performance or better. Of course we all want the world@!
