can i use old pads with new rotors?

I have a set of Project MU-B force pads on my G. Ive had them for maybe 6k miles. After the winter is over I want to switch out all 4 rotors with cross drilled brembo ones. I plan to get new rear brake pads, but should I use my existing project pads or maybe get new ones? By then they will probably have about 10k on them. What should I do?

I re-used my Hawks w/ about 5K on them on my new Brembo totors. No problems what so ever.
