Swapped my G springs with Z springs....have questions.

Ok...just swapped out my 2005 sport G springs with 2005 revised Z springs. Since they have the same spring rates...i was hoping for an even 1/2 drop all the way around. Now I am an idiot and never measured before taking it to the shop....buuuut....after it was swapped...this is what I noticed. My front looks lower. I love the look. The rear however looks like it actually raised.

My after measurements are (from ground to wheel well..ie..my ride height):

Front Driver: 26"
Front Passenger: 25 3/4"
Rear Driver: 27
Rear Passenger: 26 7/8

My wheel gap looks bigger though. I know I should have used a measurement beforeheand...but....i didnt think it was going to look worse. I'm thinking of putting my G rear springs back and keeping the front Z speings. They all have the same spring rates...so...i dont think it should matter much. Any advice.

Are those ride heights normal?

I just measured mine yesterday. Mine is a 2004 Coupe 6mt on stock 18's. I measured right at 27" in front and 27.5 & 27.75 in the rear. Your numbers look about right to me.

2004.5 G35 coupe MT on OEM 18". 2005 OEM Z springs were installed on 10/10.
OEM 350Z springs should give 0.5” drop - not in front in my case.

I am currently on border of alignment spec. and will probably put H-Techs for Z on front while keeping OEM Z on rear.

Yeah, now that I look at it - assuming we started nearly the same, looks like you dropped more like an inch...

dovla - if I read this right, looks like you got 1" drop up front and 0.5" in the back. Interesting...

Ok...just to update. My right rear is about 3/4 inch lower than my driver rear. wtf. how can there be sooo much variance? Thinkin of putting the G springs back on the back.

Spring rate's not the only issue... height changes at a corner will directly affect your corner balancing and thus affect handling. For instance if your front drops lower now than your rear, you've shifted the center of gravity forward... which could possibly compress the front springs further... Sounds funky to me...
