Changing the rotors DIY?

I'm about the swap all four of the rotors on my G. I've found a pretty good faq over at G-owners on how to change the pads and that seems simple enough but I can't seem to find much info on how to get about changing the rotors. Anyone have a good Faq or some info on how to do this?

It's very easy with the righ tools! Impact gun is reco'd but not required. You will need a huge metric socket somewhere in the 22MM range. Take off the wheels, push the brake pads back to open the caliper, undo the 2 bolts holding the caliper and rest it somewhere. Do not let it hang from the brake lines. You may need to give the old rotor a whack with a mallet to free it, but you should be able to pull it off. The rears may require a bit more work b/c of the ebrake. If you are doing w/o a lift, be sure to chock the front tires or park the car against a low curb to prevent the car from rollin fwd or backward.

This is basically how you do it for the Brembos, I would assume the regular brakes aren't that much different.

You can check in our very own FAQ section for a Brake Pad/Rotor change DYI.

Lots of good stuff collected there from over the years!
