yes they did. I was the the first person stoptech was aware of to put their kit on a 2005. All the mounting hardware is the same, and the brake balance worked out the same according to them. Since StopTech only finished checking out the kit on my car last week, I would think it'll take some time before they'll list 2005 on their fitment chart.

Hayaku,

Did you use the stock Potenza tires on the track? How did they hold up? Also, what was the ambient teamperature when you ran? I'm wondering if you could experience brake fade in the summer. I have the same DG 6MT (stock for now) and I'm planning to track it this coming year. Thanks.

thanks for the comments guys. When we went to buttonwillow on Dec. 17th, it was somewhere in the high 50s / 60s (I needed a light jacket). Because of that, cooling wasn't a big problem. I did run the stock Bridgestone RE050 tires that came with the car. Different rubber might be somethign for me to think about, but I'll need to save some $$$ before that happens. The tires held up pretty well, but again, it wasn't that hot. When I go again next summer (assuming I have the same tires), the heat might get to them if I stay out too long.....we'll see.

If you go to the track in the summer (hot weather), I reccomend bringing a infrared thermometer to the track. Do a few hot laps and measure your rotor/caliper temps right after get off. Don't stay out too long and pound on the brakes really hard.
