Suspension creaking noise - NOT SUSPENSION
#106
I have a similar problem to this, but its not so much creaking as it is "clicking" or "knocking" coming from my driver front wheelwell. I have an 05 X sedan. Lowered on z/coupe springs and usually have my coupe 19s on in the summer....just switched back to 17" stockers but still lowered.
Recently ive been hearing this noise usually when im reversing (clockwise turn of the steering wheel) out of my parking spot and turn the steering wheel all the way. This also happens when im going 5-10 mph and do some slight turning as well. Its not very consistent, happens here and there...Any ideas?
Is this struts issue? pillow ball? rack/pinion? Any ideas guys?

For the past few weeks I've been hearing a squeaking noise coming from the front-end (05 coupe), primarily going up/down my inclined drive way . Could this be the compression rods and or bushings? I'm lowered on H-Techs, have stillen sways, and SPL a-arms...could these mods affect the rods?

Hope everyone enjoyed a Merry HanaKwanIsmas.
Just picked up my 04 sedan from service this morning. I had complained (again) about the creaking noise coming from the front suspension (you know the one). Service manager advised the noise was actually being caused by a mis-aligned front driver door and that there had been a recent TSB issued that addressed the problem.
Apparently the TSB advises that the door be removed and some felt pads be installed to prevent the creaking sounds. I do not have the TSB number but I am sure some resourceful forum member can dig it up.
Hope this may solve this problem for some of you. So far, so good on my sedan. After a 30 mile return trip from the dealer this morning it appears the mysterious creaks and groans have been silenced.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I have not observed any correlation between braking and compression rod noise. Generally compression rod "creaking" occurs at low speed, independent of braking action, on undulating pavement, driveway aprons, slight dips in the road, etc.

Hi guys,
I've been hearing some creaking noises from my rear side when I make a slow sharp turn or go up or down while turning slowly.
I don't think it's my shocks. It feels like it's coming from somewhere else.. i just don't know to be honest.
I heard from someone before that there is a bar behind the rear seats that needs to be tightened?
I have an 04 coupe.
Anyone have sound coming from the rear? other than farts... lol

I'm creaking on my back end as well- started around the time I got my BC coils installed. I sent them a note about it as I'd read about the problem in other threads and they were very quick to respond.
I explained the symptoms / signs and they explained to me that there was a chance that the spring tension needed to be increased slightly- (1/4 inch if memory serves).
So now the hunt is on for instructions on how to do that!
