HELP!!! - VDC/SLIP/ABS Lights Stay On
I purchased my vehicle back in January 2003 - one of the first few batches off the production line.
I love my G35 Coupe, but have hit some road blocks as of late. About 6 months back, while driving around, I noticed that the ABS/VDC/SLIP lights come on all at once.
To reset this problem, I simply turned off the car and then turned it back on. Problem solved, or at least I thought. I went through these montions for about another 10 or so occurances after which the lights started coming on when I started the car rather than during driving. In conjunction with this, I started noticing three hard knocks while pressing the brake at start.
I couldn't get the problem to reset anymore, so in went the car to the dealer. The service guys told me that they replaced the VDC/ABS board and the problem should be fixed. I got my car and before I even made it off the lot, the lights, all of them simultaneously, came back on again. Quick u-turn and back into the shop it went.
Now, the second time I picked up the car, I was told they replaced the part again and bled the line. This time it took all of 2 miles before the lights came on again. Back to the dealer, AGAIN!
This time they call an Infiniti specialist. They find the problem to be a switch in the same line. Replaced. Picked up the car again and off I went. This time, it took a few hours, but the lights came back on AGAIN!!
If you're keeping count - 4th occurance.
This time I call the owner directly. He gets me into the service center w/o an appointment. Gets his top mechanic on it, or at least that's what he told me. They pin point the problem to mistiming between the mechanical parts and electrical indicators. If you are an engineer we call this controls logic.
Guess what, it didn't work, AGAIN!!!
5th occurance. Now I'm starting to get pissed!
I get on the phone with the owner and with both acknowledge there really isn't anything more they can do. He suggests I contact Infiniti Consumer Affairs out in CA. I place my call into them and they get back to me a few days later with the following message:
'We're sorry, but since your paperwork states that each time the lights came on, a different part was replaced and therefore it does not qualify as the same problematic occurance. There is nothing Infiniti corporate can do at this time. We suggest you take it into another dealership and let them try to fix the problem.'
I don't get it!! I tell her that to me the consumer, it's the same problem each time I took it in - the VDC/SLIP/ABS lights all come on together at the same time. How is this different each time I take it in?
I call her back and she states that she will atleast pass the info onto the buy back department, but tells me not to hold my breathe. She suggests I write a letter to the company.
I'm now stuck and do not know what to do. I'm in the process of issuing a letter of complaint to Infiniti and the local dealer.
At this point, I do not want them to buy the car back as the car is nearly paid off. I just want it fixed.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks silverII.
The unfortunate problem with this is that Florida lemon law is good for only the first 24 months. I purchased the vehicle in Jan. 2003.
Besides, I think I'm well past three times.
Thanks anyways.
