GT spec bars

For those who installed them, how long did it take you to do it? They look like simple boltons to me but a shop just quoted me a 2 hour job. I said forget it and I'll do it myself. Is it as simple as it looks?

Pretty simple, the rear was a piece of cake. the fronts weren't too bad. Much easier if you have a lift and helping hands.

here some pics of mine~~~

i had three of them... include a rear lateral bar which is not recommeded by gt spec... but i installed them cause i saw a enough clearence between exhaust pipe and gt spec bar...

result... during the first week, exhaust pipe was sitting on the bar but after pulled up the exhaust pipe a liitle bit, i could get more room between bar and pipe...

however, i took the rear lateral bar off cause of a bad rattle noise from rear...
i think it comes from TEIN CS coilover i installed with gt spec bars... i will see why the rattle sound comes out... now but i don't have a rear lateral bar with her...

if u want three of them... i think u better pull up the exhaust pipe, so u can get some more room to prevent a rubbing...

this pic was taken before adjust the exhaust pipe...

front bar is installed above the cover...

I'm going to have mine installed tomorrow. Thepanic, did you try fitting the 4 point mid chasis brace? Any news of whether or not you got the lower lateral to work? Does the front tie bar get in the way when you're draining your oil?

The front tie bar is really not in the way when changing the oil.
It is slightly offset from the drain plug and should not get in the way.

Yes, the splash cover fits right over the tie bar.

I decided not to install them. I found out that one of my friends is custom making some, and hes going to make a set for me too. I held them up, and they look like they fit perfectly. The lateral bar sits a centimeter... or less... above the lateral bar too (those were his).

I'm selling mine if anyone wants them

So does this help the rigidity of the car and can anyone comment on the 4 point brace being usable on the sedan?
