Which D-spec shock did you buy considering you have the Z springs. Did you buy the Sedan version? Sorry if its a dumb question...not too familiar with what is available out there.

I had the exact same question. I asked around and everyone recommended the G35 version of the d-specs. They only recommended the Z version if you're looking at more than a 1" drop.

350Z springs will drop a sedan 1" and a coupe 1/2 ". The Dspecs to use are the DSP-9. These are for the Z which is right for your car since you will now have those springs and the same ride height.

Well i have the 05 6MT as well, according to Gsedan35 reviews there, our car has the same spring rate /w the 350, i am just hoping that if i do get the 350z spring, it wont be the same height!!!

I know the D-spec rules, but i am just so confused about how the Spring works!!

Yes the front are the same, the rear are a little firmer than the '03/04.
That's why the drop is more even...
I have exactly the same setup (for 8 months now) & echo the above review

Rate is one thing... how much pressure required to compress.
Height is another thing...height of the coil at rest.

The springs are not the same height. The 350's are 1/2 " shorter but the same spring rates as what you have. I just had mine done and love the setup. Along with the new sways the car handles much better, corners and sweepers are flatter. Body lean and roll motion is reduced and the car feels more neutral to me.
I do notice more side to side motion though since road surface dips and bumps are more noticeable because of the firmer set up. It also seems the whole suspension works together slightly more now as opposed to each individual wheel being independent. Not harsh but very tight and confidence inspiring.

Mine are perfect -1/2 drop all around. My guess is people who say they are uneven are comparing to other springs which have different drops for front and rear. Or perhaps it is due to using earlier versions of the Z springs. Mine are from an '05.

I agree.. about the '05s are more even
Part of it is just perception as well...
If you look at the OEM sedan, it's not even either, front gap is larger.
You just don't notice it as much on the OEM because of the larger space.

Coupe is the same with larger front gap. The ratio didn't change with the new springs- just less gap on both and rear which sounds like the same with you.

This might be worth looking into if they are from an '05...
