New Brake Pads
New Brake Pads
I need to Brake pads for the rear. what did you guy replace them with? i was thinking about OEM. Price and where to pick up some brake pads.
how do you check if your rotors are still good?

The purpose of replacing under thickness rotors is primarily to protect the caliper piston seals from over extending and failure. When pads are worn out.
1mm per side rotor wear limit on front.
Visualize 9mm + 9mm of pad material depth vs 1mm +1mm of rotor wear reserve.
Obviously as the metal gets thinner [wear and trueing] the mass drops and the rotor and pads gets hotter but not significantly since 14/16 is only 12%/2 or ~~6% less mass.........calculate total wear weight loss on rotor to be exact.
Generally much worse to have 2/3 worn pads than 2/3 worn rotors.
40k is good life for rotors but many drivers get 60k depending on local conditions.
