Pads question
Pads question
Sup Fellas!
I recently took my G for the usual routine service at my local dealership and was advised by the service consultant that I needed new pads. (Mind you, she only has 32,900 miles underneath her belt.) I was not shocked with the quote that was given to me:
• Front Brake Pad Replacement Required ---> $419.00
• Rear Brake Pad Replacement Required ----> $355.00
• Brake Fluid Replacement Recommended ---> $131.00
• ------ TOTAL ---------------------------> $905.00
I decided to turn down the work as we all know that we can get performance parts at a reasonable price.
When I picked up my car, the service consultant advised me that I can always use my own performance parts and that they would work with me. (I've been laying off from modifying her but it's so tempting b/c she's asking for it!)
Anywho, I've decided to slap on StopTech's Stage 1 Kit for the Brembo Coupe. I've been searching through the forum to get an idea wheather others have it or not. And if so, any problems reported? If not, what are others using that can recommend?
(This is my first post since being a member and thought it would be a worthy post.) Alright ya'll. Peace!

i've heard alot of people saying they are using hawk pads and they at a cheap price... I'll be in your shoes soon needing brakes, I know they are way too expensive at dealerships so I'll be going aftermarket as well. Unfortunetly my dealership told me they don't work with aftermarket parts.... sigh.. I think I'm just going to ask around other dealerships in my area.
btw I have 28k on mine with no signs of brake wear...(no squeaks yet)
