Need new brake pads. what should i order?
The Dealer told me today that i need new front brake pads and tried to get me to setup an appointment to get that done... i declined because i know that there are better pads out there than the ones they would put on... my question however is
What pads should i get for the best stopping? I dont really care that much about brake dust or squeeling, but i just want whatever pads will stop my car the best and last a reasonable amount of time.... ive read about pads other people have purchased that they really liked, but they always talk about brake dust and noise which i dont really care about. If the best stopping brakes out there also happen to give less brake dust and less squeeling, then thats great. if not, i dont really care

i just ordered the Axiss Ultimates from ImportRP. suppose to be one of the better pads out there. i have the Brembo setup on my G so i'll put the pads on tomorrow when they come in. if you order your pads from importrp.com they will give you a discount for being a G35Driver member. Look them up in the vendor classified section.

how about the hawk pads on tirerack.com? I am going to order tires (and pads) tonight, and the tires are coming from tirerack. I would rather get it all at one place, in one order. I want to say i remember there being debate between the axxis and hawk pads and them pretty much being the best 2 pads. Is this correct or am i mistaken? I am DEFINATLY willing to buy them somewhere else if the hawk pads arent really what im looking for... i dont want to skimp out on the pads...

Tire Rack...............
Hawk pads are considered to be very good also
available from Stillen. I love the Tire Rack and have
been using them for years. It's really to bad that
they don't carry bitchen rims. Then they would be
a one stop shoping spot........ Just didn't see a
thing on their site I liked!

I have heard about all of these pads just in passing through threads where it happened to be mentioned and im sure that whatever i get i'll be happy with out of these.... but im just wanting to get the ones that are going to be the absolute best... although i guess that the "best" is somewhat subjective... i want the ones that are going to be best for me. i'll go read some other threads i guess in the mean time while im waiting on posts here.
but should i get:
the Hawk pads (street or race pads? im guessing race pads will eat my rotors faster?)
the axxis pads
or the projecct mu pads?

i just read a bunch of posts and some reviews and i am pretty sold on the project mu pads. now my question is.... should i get the
B-force or the NS? will the b-force eat my rotors faster or anything? I read soemthing about some pads that are meant for tracking not being good for the rotors

Nothing probably beats the oem pads in single stopping distance [cold or warm] from even 100 mph. Dusting [wear] seems to be the only downside.
The factory has the choice of every pad composition on Earth at the same price.........give or take 50 cents considering the volume such an order entails. Everyone makes mult- hundred samples and they are all tested and rejected. Of course owners may not agree with engineers favorite choices.
ABS/pad/tire fine tuned for magazine article braking distance performance.

That was probabaly me that put the PMU review. My B-Force pads did not eat up my rotors any faster but I had Rotora Slotted.
Also on the B-Force Pads, just becareful because one of the guy had issues with noise. Make sure you bed them correctly.
I really did not have any issue with noise.
If you want to play safe, go with PMU NS Pads.
I know that Hawk HPS wraped my rotors.
