Tire Suggestions for g35x in warm weather

My mom needs new tires for her 2004 g35x and rather than going and researching tires for a car that isnt mine ive just decided to give you the parameters and give me a few suggestions since no one on the forums has ever steered me wrong.

I live in Houston texas so these dont need to be on snow (i know.. why g35x right?)

I want a long tread life, so not super high performance tires

I want her to be safe obviously, so i want good performance, but not the BEST or most expensive

she has the 17's on her 2004 and i guess i could just replace them with the stock tires again, but im just seeing if there are any better suggestions that arent too much more expensive or anything. just make suggestions or ask for more criteria please. Like i said.. i havent really read much about tires or anything at all for that matter on this g35x because its not my car.

thanks in advance

Since it's your mom's car, I'd stick with all-season tires in original sizing. Not too many choices according to tirerack. Looks like the yokohama avids v4s is the best choice considering price and performance.

i recommend Yokohama Avid H4's. they are good all season tires.

also thought were pretty good were: sumitomo HTR+ (sp?)

check out www.tirerack.com and also www.tires.com
i think sears carries both tires too. (special order)

falken ziex zr512's. not sure if they offer the exact sizes as oem, but these perform well, and last crazy long.
