the D-Specs drop a G 1". This is a great combo without going the coilover route and to those who have used the Illuminas before, you will get all the flexability of the Illuminas with even more fine tuning in the firmness setting.

yes, because the 350Z springs still drop the car about 1" I just ordered a set off of a 350z owner today. I'll be getting d-specs after about a month or two to pair with the z springs.

doesn't anyone know about the Tein H-Tech springs with the d-specs, how much does that drop? so let me get this straight, (dont know about suspension) the d-specs allow u to drop it safly without any excess wear? i heard u can get the d-specs with stock shocks and not have a drop.

as far as i know,
Tokico D-specs are shocks, they DO NOT lower cars.
Springs DO lower car.
Tein H-tech for the Z will lower a G about 0.8"/0.7"
Tein H-tech for the G will lower a G about 0.3"

Most people prefer the H-tech for the Z as it gives a very nice drop while not too low enabling most to set their camber and toe within OEM spec (although still off from stock settings of course).

 

Minimize the drop as much as possible. 1.5" - 2" is crazy. I'm at stock height, and as it is, my extra low jack (3" clearance) just barely reaches the jackpoint. Getting an alignment done on my rear, required the mechanic to remove the muffler because it was low enough to block the laser sensors from seeing each other. I think Nismo coilovers produce a .8" drop which seems more reasonable to me, but can still cause problems. Another big issue are speed bumps that can hit your undercarriage with a 1"+ drop. I would weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

to tell u the truth, idk if a 1" or less drop is enough for me. i just measured how high my car is now (stock) and its like between 5.5 at the lowest point to 7 at the highest. that seems pretty high to me. i think a 1.5" drop is good. what can i do this with?

Isn't the problem with coilovers is they destroy ride quality?

Do the Tein Basics maintain a comfortable ride quality? How different from stock suspension with sports package is it?

 

what is the cheapest and most effective way to drop the car to give it a more aggressive look without compromising the car and the tire wear, camber issues,,,,,,,etc....

"Safest" way with minimum cost (without having to buy extra):

Get coilovers - Tien Basics. About 800 something USD. Adjust to drop it up to 0.7" you needn't worry about any issues.

 

+1^ I have the Basics, ride quality is not bad at all IMHO, I think they are the best and most econimic way to lower the car period. I did the SPC camber and toe kit but left the front stock. They are adjustable (ride hight) and overall I could tell a really big difference in handling. Just be sure to have someone do the proper alignment on the car afterward. In the end there is no cheap way to do it right. I have said it a million times but Kenchan is the suspension guru, pull some of his post and you'll see what I mean.
