Great info and glad this is a sticky.

Now please specify what 350z set-up I need for my 2005 sedan with non-sport suspension so that I can get an even drop, great OEM ride

They are correct. Though I can tell you that 06 Z's did not change spring rates from 05 car's, no change in springs.

do the sport sedan ratings (314/342) apply to 2006 models also? any way to verify this?

Absoltg I do not think they changed the susp from 05-06. I haven't heard/read anywhere that anything was changed.

I had the susp from a 05 350z roadster and stillen sway bars installed this past sat. I love the way my car rides and handles now. This is what I would call a sport suspension. The ride is only minimally harsher(I would say stiffened positively). Car handles a few ticks behind what my wifes s2k does. Absolutely no bouncing over rough/uneven terrain. No floaty feeling when entering/exiting curves. Also something I don't recall anyone saying. Is that the squat(the 6mt exhibits when launching) is gone. Nice solid launch now. Gone is the pogoing that use to be there. Overall I love the new feel and character of my car.

Great info. I was talking to vrsc about this over the weekend. I have the 05 with the sport suspension so maybe we can do some testing on each. I am definitely intersted in pursuing this mod.

Thanks for the exchange of knowledge.

igor, since u dun have sport shocks..i suggest go and buy shocks and springs from an 05 350z...that would be ur cheapest route..

u can post up on my350z..cause i'm sure somone will be selling it, or you can put a wtb..

good luck

Every single change they have ever done to the Z, G coupe or sedan Nissan/Infiniti has gone out of their way and tipped us off that a suspension change occured. We knew in advance about the suspension revision for the Z in 04, they told us about the 05 coupe sport suspension getting stiffer springs, shocks and sways*. Nothing has changed on the sedan shock and spring wise from Job one in 03. All 05 sedan's did get stiffer sway bars. (*They likely mirror the 04.5 Z revision where only the car's front bar is stiffer and that was done on the sly. No change in mean bar diameter, but thicker wall's in the bar's hollow construction).
