Has anyone experienced squeaking with the Hawk HPS brake pads (Brembo replacement)?
I did the fronts first, some 6 months ago and all is good. But the rear ones (replaced couple of months ago) started squeaking at low braking speeds...
Any ideas as to what's causing this?

Put on some more brake dust quiet. I put on a lot of that stuff and dont really have any problems

mine started squeaking during winter, I will soon clean my brake pads (summer maintenance) and I will also try to put more "brake quiet" on the back of the pad.
Please forgive the ignorant question, but what does Brake quiet have anything to do with the squeaking?
I thought the squeaking is from the friction between the pad and the rotor... How does applying Brake quiet
on the BACK of the pad will solve the squeaking?

First and foremost, english is not my main language so please forgive me...
Brake skeaking:
What you actualy hear is the noise comming from the vibration of the pad, think a bit of a "diapason" (that word exist is english? the U shape thing you hit that create sound.)
As the pad vibrate it create sound waves, the best way to stop it is to absorb that vibration before it get in it "acoustic" form. The brake quiet is a "gloo" liquid that act as a vibration stoper. Shims can also have the same results but sometimes it can also get worst.
Be carefull not to mix the metal indicator noise for the worn pads and pad vibration skeaking.
Feel free to ask more

First, it couldn't be the worn pads indicator as these are new pads and there is no way in hell that indicator is rubbing against the rotors. It must be the pads themselves...
Next question: Where do I get Brake quiet?
