Need help with my Wheels!

I have had my new wheels on for a week now. They are great and all but I just noticed a problem. The other day I went out on the highway and after I hit 70-75MPH my stearing wheel started to vibrate a lot more then normal. Under 70MPH its fine but as soon as I hit 70-75 it starts to shake a little.

Now I did not get an alignment yet can that be a cause?
Can it be that the wheels arent ballenced right?
Is there some other problem?
Is it the bigger tires? Problem with the Toyo's?

I make sure that the wheels are on there straight and that all the lugs are super tight. Like I said normal driving around town I didnt notice a thing only at higher speeds..

Thanx in advance wheel spec's in sig...

Im guessing either you need to get those tires balanced again or your new wheels need hubcentric rings.

Did your rims come with hub rings? One of my friends had the same exact problem as you and had to put some hub rings on his wheels...hopefully this helps

A hubcentric ring is a small ring that boes on the rotor before you put on your rim. Usually, this will allow the rim to sit flush with the rotor because the hub centric ring fits along the crevice of your wheel. That's the best way I can put it. When my wheels got put on I seen the hubcentric ings...they are a little samller than the size of a music c d and very skinny...and no I am not talking about wheels spacers

Did you buy the rims and tires mounted and balanced? If so I would suggest getting them balanced again. I had the same probelm with my 19"

From the begining.................

Most rims come with rings that center your new
wheels on the center hub. If you don't have these
most wheel/tire stores carry them. Then have your
wheels/tires rebalanced. Nothing worse than getting
dreaded vibrations with new wheels. LOL

My car does the same thing when I change out my wheels, vibrates(little) exactly at 75mph and then back to smooth at 80mph. I can say Im very **** when it comes to this kinds of problem. Got my wheel balance 2x, a regular balance and then an X-act balance, which didnt solved the problem.

I got fustrated and located a Hunter GSP road force balance machine in my area and got it done. Hit the highway , ZERO vibration ! Silky smooth.

Go on here and locat one.http://www.gsp9700.com/index.cfm
