What's a good alignment vs a bad alignment, and which do I have? I had my car aligned by an Acura shop (long story), as they were kind enough to replace the front tires - the old ones were featherd and worn very unevenly. I asked for a printout of the numbers, and I'm not impressed. I think they used the spec for a sedan, and regardless, some of the numbers are pretty far off.

The left front camber is way too negative, and the diff between front left and right camber is pretty big.

Also, the rear camber is too negative for both wheels.

I have a stock 03 coupe 6MT with 18s, and as far as I know, the vehicle was empty when the alignment was done (ie no weight in the car).

From the look of it, they didn't do much at all. I asked the service rep, and he said that it just can't be adjusted any better. Before I argue with them, I was hoping to get your opinions on my numbers, and on what can and can't be adjusted with factory suspension.

front right camber seems high....other than that, nothing seems out of the ordinary.... our cars run with some neg camber out of the factory

 

The right front camber seems to be quite a bit different than it should be in comparison to the left. Are you running height adjustable coilovers? If so, you probably need to have one side or the other adjusted to correct the front camber issues. There is no camber adjustment on the front from the factory, so there's nothing you can do to adjust it. The rears have limited camber adjustability, but you're not too far off. If you wanted to correct it, you'll need to get aftermarket camber arms.

 

no coilovers - all stock suspension.

i noticed a tsb for coupes pulling right - there's an issue with the compression rod...

i'm concerned because the rear, since it's adjustable, wasn't adjusted right, and the front, the difference is too great. any other tips on things i should do? i'm going to go after work and measure the height of all four corners to make sure it's even.

 

you need more toe-in. front camber angle is quite off L/R.

mine in the rear is .16 right and .16 left total of .32
you def need more rear toe in. also make sure that they are both the same.

the rear camber should be evened up somemore as well gettin them as close to the same as possible. toe in being the same is more important than camber being the same though.

the front looks a little wierd as well but there is nothing you can do about it there are no adjustments for the front. the only think that i can think of is maybe you have a bent a arm on the one of the sides. i dont think your camber should be off that much in the front.

That's on stock setup?!? Wow. I'd take it to the dealer to have them look at it. Something doesn't seem right with how far off the front camber differences are. Hopefully you're still under warranty and the dealer will take care of it without charge. Be sure to bring that alignment sheet to show them.
