Not sure. If the 35 offset will fit the 6 piston calipers, I'm gonna go with the Arizona Z Car 6-pot. Otherwise, I will go with the 43 offset that you have and get the 4 piston version.

The 6-piston calipers will fit the +35 offset for sure. With the +43 offset wheels they would just touch.

I forgot to mention in my original post that I also bought speedbleeders for my calipers. All Wilwood calipers use part # SB1428. Made bleeding my brakes a snap.

Could you post some pics from far away. I want to see how it looks on the car from a distance. Thanks.

Wilwood Brake Caliper color

Looking at the Wilwood calipers, the powdercoat looks "flat" black. I have gloss black OEM calipers on my silver G35 coupe, I will add Wilwood fronts at my next brake upgrade. Do you think changing the rear calipers to a flat black from a gloss black would be a decent match to the Wilwoods?

My wheels are 5Zigen FN01R-C. Cost $200 each from Discount Tire Direct. Only weighs 17 lbs per wheel which is lighter than the OEM sedan wheels by about 4 or 5 lbs.

Silver Wheel
Flat Black Wheel
Gloss Black Wheel

Only the 4-pot caliper will fit the wheel in my size. The 6-pot caliper won't. If you order these same wheels I'd suggest you get 17x8 +35 offset which are the ones I've linked above. Those will definitely clear the 6 or 4 pot caliper.
Discount Tire says that technically, the 35 mm offsets are not within the tolerance to fit the wheel wells and would probably hit the fenders.
So it looks like the 43 mm ofsets are the way to go. That means I will be limited to the 4 piston Wilwoods.

couldn't you run a small spacer to clear the 6pot, like 3mm to get you to +40mm offset? dklau33 says the +43 will just touch, so a 3mm spacer would get you 2-3mm in clearance

I don't want to use a spacer or adaptor. That is why I plan on buying new wheels.

Yes but if you bought the +43 wheels, then you would have to use the 4piston calipers as opposed to the 6pot you can run with the small spacer. To me, running a small spacer would be worth being able to use the 6pot calipers

Is it likely I could find these locally?

Yeah, he could do that but if you have a choice between using spacers and not using spacers the best thing is to get the wheel with the proper offset from the get go.

cato I got a set of wheels you should check out that will fit your car and should very well clear the 6-pots. Go to WheelMax and enter your car info and search for wheels. Filter your search down to the 5Zigen wheels.

You'll see that the Black Racing Pro-N1 wheels fit your car. They have two sizes that should clear the 6-pot. 17x8 +38 or 17x7.5 + 35. Looks like wheelmax is out of stock but if you do a google or froogle search I'm sure you can find someone who does have these wheels.

Another one I like is the 5Zigen GN+ wheel. This is a pricier wheel at around $250 per wheel. They have a 17x7.5 +35 that should clear the 6-pot and looks like Wheelmax has that one in stock.

Most likely not. You can just order them here.

I've shopped through them twice now and no problems.

After being on this board for a year, offsets still elude me. I've got a set of 18 inch Kazera KZ-A's, 8.5 inches wide, with a +38mm offset:

These should easily fit the 4pots, I believe. But what about the 6pots? I was pretty confident, but now I'm not so sure...

When looking at the stock brakes on my car(05), there is a *ton* of room between the calipers and the wheek spokes.

Offsets are a good starting point. You also have to take wheel spoke design into consideration as well. It's all a guessing game unless you have an actual template that is dimensionally correct that you can test on your wheel. With that said looking at your specific wheel, it looks like it should clear the 6-pots and am very confident that it would clear the 4-pots. This is my best educated guess. For a more confident guess, use the Stoptech 13" ST-40 template. If it clears your wheel theres a very great chance the 6-pot will clear.
