G37s rotor update

We apologize for the delay on these rotors. We have been working with the factory to expedite the process as much as possible, but we have encountered some challenges. The factory cast several rotor samples, but the defect rate was been higher than normal. As a result, we have had to do rework our tooling.

Here are some prototype samples, as well as some close-ups of a cross-section of the rotor. You can see the complexity of our convergent vane design and alternating mounting tabs. This is why the factory is having such difficulty with this rotor. However, the good news is that the rotor hardness is consistently in the 210-220 range on the Brinell scale.

Again, we apologize for the delay and hope you understand the challenges that we are facing. We expect that the rotors will be ready to ship in about 8 weeks.

There are no plans yet to make rear rotors; we first want to get the front rotors made.

We hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!

Thank you for the update.

Thank you for taking your time to make sure they are right so you can send them to us once instead of rushing them out and sending them to us all multiple times after failures.

RB is having problems posting here, however they did get back to my e-mail. At this time, they should've already contacted all who have paid their deposit with an update.

An initial batch of rotors will be ready for the early-birds in two weeks. The rest will follow early March.

hey racingbrake, its been asked a couple times in this thread, but you haven't answered the question.. any plans for 2pc. rotors for the 07-08 sport brakes? some of us don't want to spend $2k plus on a whole new brake kit that won't even fit behind our wheels.. i think there will be some good interest from sedan owners without the G37 BBK

I suggest contacting them directly. Per my post above yours, they're having problems posting on the 'Driver.
