Invoice Price
LOL It looks as if I answered my own question. Better yet, the forum did.
It looks as if the vehicle i want invoices for $37,246. So you guys actually think that I could offer the dealer $37,500 and this would not be unreasonable? People actually get cars for little over invoice?
This is all so new to me.

Ummm...can I guess what options you wanted?...5AT,Prem,Navi,Sport,Areo...am I close?
It will depend on where you live at, most likely you will get that price, if you going to finance it thru dealership, I would keep an eye on your interest rate, also if you have a trade-in? be sure you know whats the going price for that car, do not just focus on selling price!

I wouldn't pay more than $200 over invoice for a new car. I've bought two brand new cars so far. Typically I wouldn't do that simply due to how much money you lose the minute you drive it off the lot, but it all depends. First car we kept long enough to sell it private party and "make" money, the second one we've had for about 6 months now, got $5k off sticker and paid cash, so it's all equity.
That aside, dealers still make money when they sell vehicles for invoice price due to holdbacks. I believe Edmunds.com has this outlined (http://www.edmunds.com/advice/incent...ack/index.html), they also show Infiniti's holdback as being 1% of MSRP (Quite low compared to others), so they're likely to be more reluctant to selling a new car for invoice.
So, give it a shot. If they have excess inventory and want to deal you may get what you're after. If they only have a few of that model/trim, they may be willing to hold out for someone that will pay them more but they run the risk of not selling the car as fast, which costs them money and eats into their profit. If they sell a car today for $37500 they will make more money than if they sell it in a month for the same price.
Good luck!

It looks as if I am going to be forced to order one as I want it. Does this cut into my barging chances since its a custom order? Common sense would say yes, but its still a sale for the dealership.
What do you guys think?
I had my dealer do a search of upcoming inventory and they found the exact car (Black/Black/Prem/Nav/Splash Guards) coming in about 2 weeks after I went in. I offered $500 over invoice and they accepted with no haggling. Did a pre-sale and now I'm just waiting for it to come in.

, the wing could be add later on, besides the 06's wing dont really look right, kinda small, call around few dealership and ask them about the in-bound cars, they might have one is on its way that might fit your preference.
