G35 Model/Trim/Years

I'm curently in the market to buy an Infiniti G35. I have been looking around lately and noticed that there are some differences in the car. The ones I searched are anywhere from 03-05. In regards are there big differences in the car/body/engine and so forth. I have noticed that there are also different size rims for different years and depending on if it is a 5MT, 6MT or AUTO. Some have spoilers and some do not. Some come with brembo (6MT I assume) some do not. Can someone provide a clear difference upon the G so I can research more on getting one. Thank you very much!

I currently am on the Maxima.org forums and trying to upgrade!

I believe the Brembo brakes are available only on the '03-'04 6MT Coupes. The '06s (and I THINK '05s) have the "rev-up" engines (higher redline), so I suppose its a tradeoff between the brakes and the rev-up engine...
If you get a manual transmission, it will be a 6 speed, the automatic trannys come in a 5 speed version.
The Spoilers are part of an Aero package, but you can have them put on separately. The aero package includes the spoilers and some air diffusers under the car. The diffusers are supposed to help out with air flow at high speeds (probably 100+ mph.).
As far as rims are concerned, I think 18" rims were the largest available for the '03s, however someone may correct me on this. I know the 06's have 19" rims available, and I think 05's do as well, not sure on the 04s.

If any of this info is off or misleading, please feel free to correct me!

I hope this helps, good luck with your search!

I came to the decision of getting a used 03 or 04... and I would like the listed options...

Full package (I believe it has the sunroof/leather [all g35 has it i believe])
Navigation system
Brembo kit
Spoiler
6 speed MT
Black or White on black(leather)
Stock 18 inch rims

It's very hard to find something like this so far... seems there are only 1 or 2 around when i'm looking at different online for sale sites... (cars.com/autotrader.com)...

typical price range from 23-28k from what I've seen... would that be a good price range?

Are there any other features I shoud be aware of?

gl with your search. I was looking for the exact same thing (navi wasn't a big deal for me) and settle on a black on black 04 coupe since I really wanted the brembo brakes. You shoudl be able to find one in nice shape in the upper range of your price.

Bought a used 03 IP coupe for 24k. It has 20" rims. I was lucky.

Let me guess... person before you modded the car before you bought it. That's a decent price and I would settle for ivory pearl as long as it has the other options... i guess a NAV isn't necessary but it would be nice =D

Thanks guys... hopefully I'll get the car soon!

Ivory GT: How much are you going to sell your car for?

If you're considering buying an 03 6MT, especially off the internet, be sure to check if it has the newer center console (the one that runs between the seats). A certain percentage of the very early 03 6MT had the 350Z console, which (IMO) is not as nice as the new cushioned console. If you buy one with the 350Z console and change it out, it's going to cost you like $260. FYI
