put it this way -- with the M's... there are barely any more 2006 M's available and the '07's are coming in late july/august. so for the next month people cannot be picky

as for the certain combination coupe-- yes we can still order a car but you won't see it for 4 months

Quote: Questions...

What was MSRP and invoice on your G35?
What is your sales tax rate and how much is your DMV fees?
Did you have a trade-ins and what is your interest rate if you financing it thru dealership?
What months of year did you made that purchase?

and lasty...

How did you form your opinion that 300 over invoice is been "ripped'?
Car: 2004 TB/Graphite 6MT Coupe /w Premium Package, Aero Package, Trunk Mat
MSRP: ~$37-38k
tax: 3.1%
dmv fees: ?
trade in: None
rate: 4.25% @48mo through dealership
bought: 2/14/2004
out the door price: ~$35.3k

Now that a model change is around the corner, I'm wondering how Infiniti can charge top coin for the G, not to mention all the competition from other manufacturers that has intensified since the Gs release.

Best thing to do is to go into the dealership on the last week/weekend of the month and I guarantee you they will give you invoice or lower. They NEED A SALE.

PITCH LINE:

"I know you need a sale to close out the month strong, I won't pay anything more than invoice"

Done Deal for sure

At this point, I'd almost wait for the 07' coupes to come out.

Bad new.. dealers cn't find a Liquid Plat... found a Diamond Graphite..

I told him to look... and he's like worst case would be to order one which can take about 120 days...

why so many days to order a car??? does it have to be built from scratch in Japan or something???

I've had the same run ins before when the G was new and white hot during late '03 through early '04. They will eventually ask you to settle for what they got on their lot. I would extend the search and talk to other dealerships. First you need to ask if they have the car you want on their lot.. physically. If they don't, it's a sign that you need to call another dealership and move on. Calling them on the phone is best. As they will be afraid that you will be dealing with other dealerships so they will not play the pricing game with you. They either have the car you want for the price you want or not... Very simple. If you find a dealership with the car you want at the price you want, go put in a deposit and be ready to sign papers.
